For more than two decades, Greg Hall, affectionately known as Uncle Greg, has guided travelers across continents and through centuries of culture, history, and human connection. A multilingual, award-winning Tour Director and storyteller, Greg has led groups through more than thirty countries, turning every journey into an experience rich with insight, laughter, and discovery.
Raised in Cold War–era West Berlin and fluent in English, French, and German, Greg brings a uniquely personal perspective to the places he explores. His stories bridge past and present, from crossing the Berlin Wall as a teenager to navigating the modern complexities of European life and identity.
Today, Journeys with Uncle Greg continues that tradition of meaningful exploration, combining expertly guided tours with engaging talks and presentations for lifelong learners, travel clubs, veterans’ associations, and continuing-education programs. Whether on the road or at the podium, Greg’s passion remains the same: to connect people through cultures, continents, and conversations, reminding us that while it’s a big, beautiful world, it feels a little smaller when we explore and learn about it together.

It’s walking up a steep staircase hidden behind bookshelves in Amsterdam, standing beneath streamers of light dancing across a wintery Icelandic sky, or raising a glass at Vienna’s Kaiserball, waltzing through living history.
